By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or accessing any content on this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use this platform. These Terms of Use apply to all continuing education (CE) courses offered by Julie Cardoza, LMFT through this Thinkific platform. They supplement and do not replace Thinkific's own Terms of Service, available at thinkific.com/terms-of-service. |
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the continuing education courses, materials, and website (collectively, the "Course") provided by Julie Cardoza, LMFT, CAMFT Continuing Education Provider #61115 ("Provider," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, enrolling in any course, or accessing any course materials, you ("User," "Participant," "you") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not enroll.
2. About the Provider
Julie Cardoza is a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (BBS License #MFT 41066) operating as the legal entity Julie Cardoza, LMFT, CAMFT Continuing Education Provider #61115. Continuing education programming is hosted at juliecardoza.com and delivered through the Thinkific learning management platform.

3. Eligibility
By enrolling, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You are enrolling for your own professional development or for the purpose of earning continuing education credit toward licensure renewal.
- The information you provide at enrollment is accurate.
- If you are using the Course toward CE credit, you hold an active license in your jurisdiction and are responsible for confirming that CAMFT-approved CE satisfies your jurisdiction's renewal requirements.
4. Purchase and Payment
Tuition is stated at the time of enrollment and includes all course materials, the post-test, the course evaluation, and the certificate. Payment is processed through Thinkific's payment processor at the time of purchase. All transactions are in U.S. dollars.
5. Refund and Cancellation
A full refund is available within three (3) days of purchase if no course modules have been accessed. Once any module has been opened in the learning management system, no refund is available. To request a refund, email [email protected] within three days of the purchase date. Refunds will be processed within ten (10) business days of approval.
6. Course Access and Completion
Course access is granted for one (1) year from the date of enrollment. To earn continuing education credit, all course requirements — including module content, the post-test, and the course evaluation — must be completed within that one-year period. Certificates cannot be issued for incomplete enrollments after access expires. Re-enrollment is required if you wish to complete the course after access has lapsed.
7. Continuing Education Credit
Course meets the qualifications for 6 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Julie Cardoza, LMFT, CAMFT Continuing Education Provider #61115, is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs. Julie Cardoza, LMFT, CAMFT Continuing Education Provider #61115 maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.
The post-test requires a minimum passing score of 70%. The certificate is auto-issued upon completion of all course requirements: 100% lesson completion, passing the post-test, and submission of the course evaluation.
8. Recordkeeping
Records of course completion, including post-test scores and certificates issued, are retained for a minimum of five (5) years in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 16, §1887 et seq., and CAMFT CEPA Program requirements. Participants may request a duplicate certificate at any time during the retention period by emailing [email protected].
9. Accommodations
For special-needs accommodations — including assistive technology, alternative formats, captioning, or other adjustments — email [email protected] at least seven (7) days before enrollment. We will work with you to ensure the course is accessible.
10. Grievances
Grievances regarding course content, instructor conduct, accommodation requests, or any other aspect of the Course may be submitted by email to [email protected]. Grievances will be acknowledged within two (2) business days and resolved within thirty (30) days. A record of all grievances and resolutions is maintained. If a grievance is not resolved to the participant's satisfaction, the participant may contact the CAMFT Continuing Education Provider Approval Program at [email protected].
11. Intellectual Property
All course content — including videos, audio recordings, slide decks, written materials, case vignettes, post-test items, supplemental handouts, the 7 Step Toolkit, and the framework itself — is the intellectual property of Julie Cardoza, LMFT, and is protected by United States copyright law. Course materials are licensed to the enrolled user for personal, non-commercial professional use only. You may not:
- Share, distribute, copy, or republish course materials in any form.
- Share your account credentials or grant access to non-enrolled individuals.
- Record, screenshot, or reproduce video or audio content.
- Use course content to create derivative works for commercial training, supervision, or resale.
- Remove copyright, attribution, or branding from any course material.
Citation of course concepts in your own clinical writing or supervision practice is permitted with appropriate attribution.
12. Permitted Use
Course materials are intended to support your continuing education and professional development as a licensed clinician. Application of clinical content in your practice is at your own professional discretion and responsibility.
13. No Clinical or Legal Advice
The Course is educational in nature and is intended for licensed mental health clinicians. Course content does not constitute medical advice, mental health treatment, legal advice, or supervision of your clinical work. Enrollment does not establish a clinical, supervisory, consultative, or therapist–client relationship between you and Julie Cardoza, LMFT. Any clinical decisions you make in your own practice based on Course content are your sole professional responsibility.
14. Code of Conduct
If the Course includes any community, comment, or interactive features (including the Menopause & Mental Health Professional Community), you agree to engage respectfully and to maintain client confidentiality. Do not post identifiable client information in any community or comment area. We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content and to suspend or revoke access for users who violate this section.
15. Privacy
Personal information submitted at enrollment and during course participation is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at juliecardoza.com.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Course is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, suitability, or availability of the Course beyond what is required for CAMFT CEPA approval. We do not warrant that the Course will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the learning management platform will be free of technical issues.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Julie Cardoza, LMFT, CAMFT Continuing Education Provider #61115, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Course. Total liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Course.
18. Modifications
We reserve the right to update Course content for accuracy, currency, and CAMFT compliance, and to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted at juliecardoza.com with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Course after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Provider regarding the Course.
